Constancy and dependability are fine qualities in a watch and a psychotherapist, and not to be taken for granted. In Chêne-Bourg, a municipality of the canton of Geneva, you will find the home of the famed watchmaker Frédérique Constant, as well as the practice and home of Madame le Docteur Yvonne Gitnacht. Dr. Gitnacht’s works out of the Hospital de la Tour, a private hospital operating on a high level without losing sight of the necessity for human touch. Recognizing the importance of human contact, this hospital’s physicians, nurses, and administrative staff of the hospital have one goal: to ensure that each patient’s stay is as pleasant as possible. Hospital de la Tour operates within the Geneva University Hospital (H.U.G.) group. One of the most important Swiss hospital groups, HUG are public medical establishments whose mission is to provide general and specialist medical care for the sick and injured, to further the medical education of medical students and medical professionals, and to conduct clinical research (in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva).

Dr. Gitnacht has an exceptional temperament for Psychiatry and psychotherapy. She utilizes many techniques of analysis including hypnosis. Her powers of communication are aided by her fluency in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. Dr. Gitnacht is particularly geared to aid in stress related issues and stress management. With her husband, J.R. Arteaga Lelarge they started a practice for training managers in stress management and coaching. She is connected to The Commission Training and Development Team and Training Center where she has conducted Method Interactive seminars with theoretical lectures and discussion of case studies.

In her own course of study Dr. Gitnacht obtained her M.D. from the University of Geneva in 1989. This was a fitting choice for her matriculation in that the university pursues three missions: teaching, research, and service to the community. In 2009, the University of Geneva is celebrating the 450th anniversary of its birth.

In addition to their stress management collaboration, Dr. Gitnacht tends the home fires with her husband Juan Rudy Artega, and they have two children: David and Sonia. When she can she likes to get back in a saddle, for she is quite the horsewoman.

Dr. Yvonne Gitnacht can be found on the Madison Who’s Who Directory where she is looking to network with you.
