Local High Flyer Recognized

Mr. David Chawota, General Manager and Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, is being recognized by Madison Who’s Who for his dedication to providing consumer protection in the free skies.

In his critical national role, Mr. Chawota ensures that the safety of the customer is not left to the avarice of private business nor the inadequacy of pilot capability.

As General Manager and Deputy Director General of the CAAZ, Mr. Chawota has been purposed with developing civil aviation and promoting its safe, regular and efficient use inside and outside Zimbabwe. Specific functions of his administration include providing air navigation services, regulating the aviation industry, and advising the government on all civil aviation matters.

In his private life, Mr. Chawota prefers pastimes that bring him peace and tranquility. Recreationally, he maintains a consistent dedication to chess, always seeking to sharpen his competitive edge; athletically, he enjoys golf and its outdoor offerings. David is a family man, married since 1989 to wife Norma, and the father of three lovely children.
