Madison Who’s Who Recognizes Rolf Carlson
Organic Chemistry defines life and Dr. Rolf Carlson has dedicated his to its study. Organic Chemistry is the discipline within chemistry which involves the scientific study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of chemical compounds that contain carbon. Professor Rolf Carlson is a pioneer in the design of experiments and multivariate data analysis in organic chemistry. There is no doubt that the pioneering contributions of Dr. Rolf Carlson have had a strong influence on the chemometrics community, particularly in the field of design of experiments and design in latent variables.
Professor Rolf Carlson has received the fifth Herman Wold medal for his pioneering work, never-failing enthusiasm and objective-driven problem solving in organic chemistry. His contributions in multivariate design are ground breaking. Mr. Carlson has devoted much of his time towards reagent characterization. He has written numerous articles dealing with principal property estimations of e.g. solvents, Lewis acids, ketones, aldehydes, amines, etc., each one conveying his passion and conviction for optimal experimentation.
To summarize his wisdom, Mr. Carlson authored the book Design and Optimization in Organic Synthesis. This best-selling volume is a blue-print of how to conduct informationally sound experiments in organic and medicinal chemistry. When Dr. Carlson is not making huge strides in the science of organic chemistry he enjoys spending time with this wife Inga and their two children, Johan and Andrew. Dr. Rolf Carlson can be found in the Madison Who’s Who directory and looks forward to networking with you.
