Herschel M. Maasdorp is Executive Director of STC-Southern Africa Ltd. STC-SA is a South African BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) company jointly owned by South Africans and the STC Group (based in Rotterdam, Netherlands). The STC Group is a worldwide strategic combination of well established education, training, research, support, consultancy, and implementation services, for the entire transport logistics chain. As the African arm, STC-SA was established in 2001 to provide high quality, global standard consulting and training services in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In his senior management position as Executive Director of STC-SA, Mr. Maasdorp has a specified decision making role as director of finance, marketing, operations, and etc. He is plays an essential role with STC-SA using his expertise as a transport economist and his business development techniques.

Mr. Maasdorp was educated at the Université de Liège, Belgium, where he received his post-Graduate Diploma in Multimodalism and Logistics (2006). He earned a Bachelors of Arts, with Honors, in Development Economics from University of the Western Cape, a national university alert to its international context while nurturing the cultural diversity of South Africa.

Herschel M. Maasdorp sits on the Board of the South African–Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, which aims to stimulate business links between South Africa and the Netherlands as well as imports/exports, tourism, and foreign direct investment in order to accelerate sustainable economic growth.

Apart from work, Mr. Maasdorp enjoys spending time with his family. He is devoted to his wife and two children. He also enjoys reading.
