Paul V. Basilvich is the Senior Software Developer of Research in Motion, Ltd. Research in Motion is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market. Through the development of integrated hardware, software, and services that support multiple wireless network standards, RIM provides platforms and solutions for seamless access for time sensitive information that includes: email, phone, text messaging (SMS and MMS), internet, and intranet based applications. RIM technology also enables a broad array of third party developers and manufacturers to enhance their products and services with wireless connectivity to data. RIM was founded in 1984 and is based at Waterloo, Ontario. RIM has offices in North American, Europe and Asia.

The senior software manager functions as project manager and performs a variety of software analysis and
development duties of medium to high degrees of complexity. Mr. Baselvich’s specialty is Enterprise Software which is software intended to solve an enterprise problem rather than a departmental problem. Only large enterprises attempt to build this software which is the core IT system governing the enterprise and the core of communication within the enterprise. His expertise is to make products more efficient.

Paul Basilevich studied at the National Technical Institute of the Ukraine otherwise known as “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.  Here he received his Ph.D. in research. When Mr. Basilevich is at his leisure he keeps fit by swimming. He keeps an enthusiastic discipline for playing the classical guitar.
