Jean Quintana is a multimedia artist who lives and works in California’s Los Padres National Forest. The Los Padres National forest is located in southern and central California which includes most of the mountainous land along the California coast from Ventura to Monterey. Ms Quintana’s beautiful surroundings supply an abundance of inspiration that feed her varied creative pursuits which encompass painting, children’s illustration, poetry, photography, and greeting cards. She is the owner of Quintana Designs.

Her artwork has been shown in many galleries and boutiques including The Kern County Museum of Art, The Century Gallery in Los Angeles, The Modern Museum of Art in Santa Ana, The Holiday House in Oxnard, and a trunk show for Nordstroms Department Store.

Ms. Quintana is the co-founder of Art from the Heart a present art association started in 1998 in Pine Mountain, California. Among her other affiliations are: The San Luis Obispo Art Association, The Arts Council of Kern, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, The International Society of Photography, The International Society of Poetry, and The American Academy of Poets.

After graduating High School, Jean Quintana studied at The Behavior Science, Research, and Education Center, as well as at the Institute of Children’s Literature. She has received accolades in the form of: Golden Poet of the Year 1989; Editors Choice for Poetry, 2007 & 2008; Editors Choice for Photography 2007. Her Illustrations have been published in Once Upon a Time Magazine. Her poetry has been published in eight separate books, one of which being Best Poems and Poets of 2007. She is also proud of her marriage of thirty years.
